Overview

Nagarjuna hiking tour is a single day and one of the finest hiking destinations nearby Kathmandu valley. Nagarjuna hill (2,128m) is located at about 7km west of the main city, Kathmandu. The hill is famous for its dazzling location and the influential Buddhist stupa at its crown. The glowing view of Manaslu, Ganesh and Langtang range is another major attraction of the trip. The hill is accessible by motor road as well which takes about 45 minutes. By foot/hike, about 5 km of the trail can be covered in approx. 2 hours.

The hiking trip starts with 10 minutes' drive from our hotel to Balaju. Balaju has a beautiful park called '22 tap park'. These 22 taps are considered as holy tap, so it carries great auspicious value. From Balaju, we begin our hike and it takes approximately 2 hours to reach the top. At the top of the Nagarjuna hill, there is a summer palace of a former king. Your hike is also facilitated with a great variety of flora and fauna. Join us; we give you a short leave from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Itinerary

Day 1

8 am we pick from your hotel within Kathmandu city then drive to Balaju bypass.
Our guide pick up from the hotel and makes a short drive to Balaju. At Balaju you get the chance to observe the famous '22 tap park'.

Hike to Nagarjun Hill (2,128m) - 2 hours hike
From Balaju, our hiking time starts. After the short walk we leave bustling city and enter into the 'Shivapuri National Park' area. The eco-friendly journey through the dense forest eventually takes us to Nagarjun hill. Enjoy the beautiful surrounding along with the magnificent view of mountains.

Hike back to Balaju and drive to your hotel
After the enough exploration around the Nagarjun hill, hike back to Balaju. As it is mostly downhill, it takes about 1:30 hours. From Balaju, our vehicle will pick us up and drop to hotel.
