Annapurna Base Camp Trekking also known as Annapurna Sanctuary trek is surrounded by snowy peaks of the Annapurna mountain range from all directions is one of the famous trekking destinations in Nepal. Annapurna Base Camp is surrounded by majestic beautiful mountain scenery and an amazing variety of ecosystems. Mount Annapurna I (8,091m) being the focal point of this destination is the 10th highest mountain peak of the world. The maximum altitude you reach during Annapurna Base Camp Elevation is around 4210 meters and the minimum altitude is 1065 meters.  An Annapurna base camp trekking holds a lot of adventure for mountain lovers. During the trek from the first day of the trek, you got to see the panorama view of hills, villages and the mountain like Annapurna, Machapuchare, and Dhaulagiri. Trek starts along with fallowing the river stream.

Detailed Itinerary


 

 

Day 1: Arrive at Kathmandu Airport, transfer to hotel.

Upon arrival at Kathmandu airport, our representative will welcome you holding a clear sign displaying your name. You’ll then be taken to your chosen hotel in the center of the city. That evening we will provide a welcome dinner in a typical Nepali restaurant where you can taste authentic Nepali food and experience a cultural dance presentation.

Day 2: Kathmandu city tour and trek orientation

Following breakfast, you’ll now go sightseeing whilst touring some of the cultural heritages within Kathmandu city. Explore UNESCO listed sites - Swyambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath temple and Boudhnath stupa. A professional culture guide will be with you to provide a true insight behind their history. These places reflect the practices of Buddhism, Hinduism, and society based traditions. A trek orientation program will then take place and additional trekking preparation to ensure all packing and required equipment is in check.

Day 3: Fly to Pokhara, trek to Ulleri (2,070m): 30 mins flight / 5 hrs trek

Breakfast at the hotel is followed by transfer to the airport to fly to Pokhara. You will be met by all crew members at Pokhara airport. A drive to Nayapul is then scheduled where you will start trekking towards the village of Ulleri (2,070m). As we gradually ascend we’ll pass the villages of Birethati, Hile, Tikhedunga and eventually reach to Ulleri.

Day 4: Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,750m): 5 hrs trek

The trail from Ulleri to Ghorepani is almost entirely through the dense rhododendron forest. We’ll pass the two small villages of Banthati and Nangethati which are perfectly situated for a tea break and lunch stop. Ghorepani is a popular destination of the Annapurna region renowned for its viewing location, cultural existence, and unique landscape. We’ll stay overnight in Ghorepani.

Day 5: Trek from Ghorepani to Poon Hill to Tadapani (2,625m): 4-5 hours trek

Early that morning, we’ll take a short hike to Poon-Hill (3210m) to see the beautiful sunrise and colorful mountains. We’ll see Annapurna South (7219m), Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Hiun Chuli (6441m), Annapurna I (8,091m), Annapurna II (7937m), Annapurna III (7855m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Lamjung Himal (6931m) and many other peaks in Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna mountain ranges. Trekking back to Ghorepani for breakfast, we’ll then commence our trek to Tadapani. Along another rugged rhododendron forest, we’ll finally reach Tadapani. That night we’ll stay in a locally owned guesthouse.

Day 6: Trek from Tadapani to Chhomrong (2,170m): 6 hours trek

The first part of today’s trek involves a steep descent through the dense forest and a walk passing the west bank of the Modi Khola. Later that day we’ll pass the village of Chuile and eventually reach the much bigger village of Chhomrong. The mighty Annapurna south and sacred Mt. Fishtail appear just in front of the village. We’ll stay overnight in a locally owned guesthouse.

Day 7: Trek from Chhomrong to Dovan (2,580m): 4 hours trek

Having walked through forests festooned with orchids and butterflies on the bank of Modi River to Khuldi, we’ll then descend down a long, steep, slippery stone staircase into the deep bamboo and rhododendron forests. Passing the small settlement of Bamboo, the trail continues gradually upward to the village of Doban. We’ll then stay overnight in a locally owned guesthouse.

Day 8: Trek from Dovan to Deurali (3,230m): 4 hours trek

The day starts with gradual ascent following the trail above the river through thick bamboo, oak and rhododendron forests. We’ll cross two streams over rickety bridges and journey through solitary stretches where nature's wilderness provides a true peace to the mind. There is also the likelihood of seeing a diverse variety of native wildlife. Once again, we’ll stay overnight in a locally owned guesthouse.

Day 9: Trek from Deurali to Annapurna base camp (4,130m): 5 hours trek

On the way to Annapurna base camp from Deurali, the vegetation disappears. We’ll see the snow boulders melting and forming small streams. The path widens as follow a stream and then climb up to a few huts alongside a moraine. We’ll witness the sensational views of the Annapurna Mountains towering above the sanctuary. Mt. Fishtail (6,993m), Annapurna South (7,219m), Annapurna I (8,091m), Hiunchuli and numerous other peaks will now all be in view. We’ll stay overnight in a guest house of Annapurna Base Camp.

Day 10: Trek from Annapurna base camp to Bamboo (2,310m): 6 hours trek

An early start will ensure we enjoy the magnificent sunrise over the Himalayas. After breakfast, we’ll trek downhill to Bamboo. Heading down the valley is much easier than climbing up. Once again we’ll stay overnight in a locally owned guesthouse.

Day 11: Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Dada (1,760m): 5 hours trek

Our trek continues descending towards Jhinu Danda. En-route you’ll get the opportunity to lie on natural hot springs situated just a 15-minute walk from Jhinu Danda. That night we’ll stay overnight in a locally owned guesthouse.

Day 12: Trek to Nayapul, drive to Pokhara: 6 hrs trek / 1 hr drive

Leaving Jhinu Danda, we’ll trek all the way downhill to Nayapul. Farmland, scattered settlements, dense forests, and refreshing environments inspire us to overcome every challenge of our journey. From Nayapul, we’ll drive to Pokhara where you’ll enjoy a much-appreciated rest in your hotel.

Day 13: Fly to Kathmandu: 30 min flight

That morning we’ll explore Pokhara city, take a boat ride across Phewa Lake, visit Devi's fall and Gupteswor cave, you can even try your hand at Paragliding. In the afternoon you’ll fly back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, a transfer to your chosen hotel, you’ll then have the rest of the day to do whatever you like. This may be simply relaxing or exploring Kathmandu. You may even wish to do some last-minute shopping for yourself, friends and family before farewell dinner. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 14: Final departure transfer

3 hours prior to your flight time, we will drop you to the airport to fly to your onward destination.
