Australian Camp Trek is an easy or moderate trek around Pokhara. The two major attractions of the trek are the Dhumpus Village and the Australian Camp. The place is renowned for sunrise, sunset, the Annapurna Range, Machhapuchhre, and green hills. The journey starts from a drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara: The city of Lake is the touristic center of Nepal. From Pokhara, we take 45 minutes to drive till Phedi and trek our way to Dhampus. A short break at Dhampus and then we trek through Pothana where we lunch and trek to the Australian Camp to rest. The trip takes about seven hours depending upon the pace of the traveler. You will travel through dense forests, along the hillsides, and through mountain villages. After breakfast in the Australian Base Camp, we hike through Naudanda (Nine hills). We stop for lunch and then hike to Sarangkot. This trek offers you spectacular mountain scenery (Mt Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Machhapuchre, Nilgiri, etc). You can even see the amazing view of the Pokhara valley and lakes. Passing the terraced fields and small houses, we'll climb up through the forest. We can even see the mesmerizing Annapurna Range and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).
